Sent the Wrong Damn Bike !

I ordered a Schwinn 29 inch red bike and you sent a 26 inch white Mongoose ! Wrong on all counts idiots. This is my last order EVER with kumisjojon ! I am not sending it back because the prices are almost identical and I don' t want to have to deal with the hassle of returning it. BUT ONCE AGAIN I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM kumisjojon. COM AGAIN. And if you look at my order history you will see that that is a significant loss !!!!!!

Great Bike

Awesome bike for the money when it come to full suspension. The fox shocks are amazing and were very easy to setup according to your weight. The rebound adjustment is great. The bike comes with quite a few goodies for the price. My only reccomendation would be to get the Sortie 29 2.0 with the thru axle. I haven't had any issues with the quick release, but I would have a little more peace of mind with the thru axle. After owning the bike just a few weeks the chain broke at my first race, but I had some horrible lube on the chain so that may have been the cause. The 29" tires make roots and logs a breeze, but the pedals still sit a little low. All in all I am very happy with my purchase for the money!

My friend LOVES IT...

The rear shifter was slightly bent on arrival... UPS did it again.... but a friend of his was able to straighten it to where it works fine. I am not going to do a replacement since it seems to be working OK; just hope it does not cause problems in the future? My buddy has already taken it on a five mile ride "to town" and says it is much better than walking. :>0 He loves it and said the twist shifter is a lot easier to use than the levers on his old model. kumisjojon made it affordable to give this gift... "THANKS"...

Took a bit to setup the bike but it came and i took it on a 10 minute test ride. So far pretty good, a bit on the heavy side but i do like the bike!

Great deal, from another vendor

I really like my mongoose beast. Heads up, the headset came too tight, so I had to loosen it as soon as I got it. It was so tight turning the handlebars was difficult. Also the bottom bracket could use some more grease.I've heard inflating the tires to 30 psi is risking a blowout, at 20 psi mine is great on pavement.But, the most important thing is, DO NOT PAY 400$ plus shipping for this. You can get them at wal mart or there online site. I got mine for 200$ shipped to my door.

Walgoose Fat Wally Moon Tires Bike

26" x 4.0" tires Also Know as a Walgoose, Fat Wally, Moon Tires, no matter what you call it this is a fun to ride bike. Gets lots of attention and is ready for customization. I changed the stem and added Ape handle bars, put on t a Schwinn style springer seat, and better pedals. This is an entry level fat tire bike and can be found for better prices on other sites.

Mongoose Pinn'R? Who knew?

Like most of you looking at this bike, I had no clue Mongoose was back in the business of producing decent bikes. Most of the information I could find on the internet was for the sibling bike the Boot'R. For the most part those reviews were positive. So i took a chance on the Pinn'r because most of my riding is freeride with occassional downhill. After three months of riding this bike it has completely changed my perception of Mongoose. It is too bad they are no longer selling bikes in America, hopefully that will change in the future. Also, if you pay attention to the photo of this bike, it has the Fox Float RC2 180 front fork. However, every site states that the front fork on this bike is the Rock Shox domain R. I have the bike and I can confirm, it comes with the Fox Float RC2 180 which is a much better fork. On kumisjojon they have it correct in the product features but incorrect in the product description.Here are my pros and cons of the bikePros1. Great frame geometry (riding position is comfortable for freeride/downhill)2. Corners like crazy with the Kendal Escavators3. Suspension feels plush (Took a while to dial it in with so many adjustments)4. Good quality components for the price paid ($1700)5. Built like a tank to take the beating of freeride and downhill ridingCons1. Certainly the Mongoose name here in america is tarnished (my freinds looked at me weird when they found out I ordered a Mongoose)2. A bit heavy, but this shouldn't matter if you are riding the bike for what it was made for (~40 LBS)3. Haven't figured out a small squeek that comes and goes from some part of the frame

Cheap Shifter

I ordered this bike for my wife and it's a good one for the price. It's sturdy and easy to put together, however the front gear shift broke while I was adjusting it. I've ordered a new one and she can ride it in the meantime with just the rear gears, but even those are temperamental until I can adjust the front one. I put on a rear kickstand as the center stand seemed to get in the way a lot. Also, this frame is most suited for a taller female.

Wife loves it

I bought this for the wife for the Holidays and so far she loves the bike. It was very easy to assemble. I appreciated the fact that the brake cables and brakes were already assembled and on the frame itself. All I had to do was the balancing, which didn't take long. The directions were readable and understandable, so no complaints there. All in all, a 30 minute job to put together and the bike seems to be present a good value proposition for a first timer...

Sturdy, but came with a bent frame part

This bike appears to be sturdy. Some components look decent, like the Shimano derailleur system, and other components look a little cheaper, like the pedal assembly.We haven't been able to use it yet, because in the some-assembly-required process, we found that the part of the frame that the rear derailleur mounts to is bent in towards the bike, causing the chain guides to be at an angle. This results in the derailleur coming in to contact with the tire spokes when it is shifted in to the higher gears.Our current options are to return the item or just try to bend the piece back to its original position. I do work at a machine shop, so if anything we'll just weld up a new part!If you are seriously considering the purchase of this bike, than you should at least be aware of the fact that you're not purchasing a top-of-the-line kind of item here. There is a good chance that it will work just fine and after some minor adjustments, will last you for years (especially if your ambition dies out!)Not perfect, but I'd say its one-half step up from a super-store special.

Flaws Restrict it to 2.5 Stars

I purchased the KDX2, the aluminum model, from kumisjojon. Delivery was quick and the box had all of the parts. With these Kawasaki bikes (the name is licensed; Kawasaki Motor Company has nothing to do with these bikes) you are getting what you pay for, if you paid less than $200 like me.Like other buyers, I experienced an anoying problem with the bottom bracket. The left (non-drive) crank arm kept falling off. After less than 5 minutes of pedaling the nut would unscrew itself and the crank would begin to wobble and then come completely unsecured. The cause of this problem likely is that the bottom bracket spindle was installed wrong at the factory or the part is just a cheaply made component and not reliable. And that's the story of the KDX2, the "factory/manufacturer" simply used the cheapest parts supplier they could find in China. I've discovered that some of the parts on the Kawasaki bikes are either non-standard or obsolete. That means that when it comes time to get replacements for worn parts you might have compatibility problems. If you're experienced with the mechanics of a bicycle and essentially know your way aroud a bike, then upgrading the bike might not be a big challenge. Just think of it as a bare frame that you want to put your own unique style on, sorta like that MTV show "Pimp My Ride."I've already upgraded the crankset, handlebar, stem, saddle, seatpost and headset with better quality name brand parts. But then I discovered the bottom bracket problem, so now I've got to replace that with a standard and name brand version. Down the road I'll get a new wheelset because all-aluminum rims and Shimano freehubs in the wheels are the contemporary standard now. And even still, the overall cost will be a lot less than if I had purchased an authentic entry-level mountain bike (about 400 bucks). The bottom line is, the KDX2 aluminum frame is decent(good welds, wide and sturdy tubes) but the stock components are of low quality. By the way, the warranty is one year but customer service is slow.

I should have ordered something else

Got the bike and put it together, not hard to do but there aren't any instructions, so if you aren't mechanically inclined it could be tough. Once I got it together didn't like the green color to much, but not bad. I took my new bike out for a quick trip down the street and back home. The first thing I noticed was the front spring made for a very awkward ride; it made it hade to get my balance. But all in all not a terrible ride, put the bike back up, came out the next day to a flat in the front tire. The reviewer before said he had the same problem but at least he had it for 2 weeks not 2 hours. I got a hold of the right dept quickly and the guy I talked to said he would send me 2 replacement tires out the same day. I just got off the phone so I don't know if and when I will get them. If I do then no complaint except I have to take the tire off and change a tire which I haven't ever done before. So we'll see how the whole thing turns out.

Good looking, but.....

It is a great looking bike, but it took me two weeks to finally ride on it. I had to replace the front wheel. And when I did ride on it, i found it very difficult, when uphill, the bike tried to adjust the gear itself (you can hear the "KaTA Ka TA' noise), but this makes it impossible ride. So all I could do was to climb down and walked it till i could ride again. Beside, the customer service of the online shop I bought this from is horrible! I called them about 5 times, each time get a totally contradictory answer to the other answers.

For the price, OK

Never had a mountain bike, wanted to try it. For the price, it's a good beater. Bike held up well on forest trail. If I keplek another, probably will get bigger frame as this is a little small, but wanted to start small to make sure I can get my feet down if start to lose balance. But love the feeling on the forest trail. The shocks are great, I expected a bumpy ride over the roots, rocks, but surprisingly smooth. The small wheels turn on a dime. Would recommend as a starter bike. Really, a pleasant surprise, wasn't sure what I was getting for the low price.

Smooth ride, but still painful bum

I bought this bike in Walmart after I found that the bike that I wanted - a Schwinn women's hybrid was too tall for me to even get on :(. So this bike was recommended by the "bike associate". I rode it home about 3 - 4 miles on paved and slightly unpaved roads. It held up well on uneven surfaces with no real jarring...however the seat is not comfortable and I had saddle syndrome (I made that term up). I'll get a padded seat and update when I go on the trails....on another note the bike is not light - but certainly easier lifted than the steel type hybrid bikes like Schwinn.
