4Good bike
By Noah
After a few days, I'm perfectly happy with this bike. I was hesitant to choose this one over the other 26" folding bikes because it lacked any reviews, so here is my review :)The Good: It's a perfectly functional folding bike with 18 speeds and full-size wheels. It was the only option at the time that had full size wheels and more than 6 speeds, in this price range ($200 shipped), so that is a definite plus. It also has rear shocks which is nice, though I don't know if I'll make any use of them. I consider myself to be a novice at bicycles, but everything was pretty self-explanatory and I made it work with no trouble, which is important because the instructions were minimal; the only things you need to assemble are to attach the front wheel, the seat post, the handlebars post, and the pedals (to their arms), which were all simple. All my accessories from my old bike fit onto this one just fine too (luggage rack, fender, seat). The Bad: The manual is sparse, and what illustrations it has are clearly for a different bike. Expect to use your noggin when assembling this. One part of the bike was damaged, probably during shipping. It was the lip of the part where the handlebar unit slides into the frame, and the damage made attaching the handlebars impossible. Fortunately it was just the collar that was damaged, not the frame itself, and my local used bike store had a bin full of them, and I was able to get a matching replacement at no cost (shout out: recycled cycles on boat st, seattle). Now everything works fine. The wheels are not quick-release, which surprised me, but the seat and folding mechanism are.Edit: 6 months later, I still use this bike as my daily commuter. The mechanics of the bike are solidly "average." I expected a budget unit and that's what it is. It's not going to win any races. After 6 months, I needed to take it in for repairs. They trued the wheels, replaced the brake pads (which was necessary after riding on slightly off-center wheels for 6 months) and brake cables, and did something about the crank axle and steering tube. In the 5th month or so, it started to get this feeling like the pedals might fall off any minute. After these repairs, it feels like day 1 again, but not like a really "good" bike. I agree with Brian's review, you will want to adjust _everything_ on this bike out of the box, so be prepared for that.

2Love the Frame/Hate the Components
By Brian Wargel
I have put 40 miles on the bike at this point, both road (with a tire change) and 10 miles of trails. I am already replacing components that shouldn't be replaced. All of your money on this bike goes to the frame. They definitely cut corners on components to market this bike at this price. For mild trail riding this bike is not very durable. I don't like that the brake arms are plastic as well as the rear derailleur pulleys; expecting these to break at some point. I have already bent the bottom bracket (crank axle) as it is fairly cheap and flimsy. This happened mid trail and I lost my crank arm mid pedal; had it been on a switchback I would have been in the gully. Bike quality mostly rests on the components, and these are cheap.Pros: This is great bike for simple fact of storage and portability. Great for storing under the camper or in the back of the van and for moderately level riding off road and on. Comparable to any bike at wal mart under $100.Cons: The manual is a waste paper. Everything need adjustment out of the box...I mean everything. Get a spoke wrench and go to YouTube and research "Rear Derailleur Adjustment", "V-Brake Adjustment", and "Bicycle Wheel Truing". Get a line on replacement parts...you will need them. The only reason there are two stars is because the parts are standard size and I like the frame.

5Just fine for the casual rider
By Sean
There are some rough reviews here for this bike, and I imagine it's because they are written by some hardcore bikers. For the person who rides a bike every so often for casual exercise or a leisurely coast through the neighborhood (like me), this bike will meet your needs and expectations. Nothing fancy. Maybe not the fastest bike in the world. But it gets the job done without feeling like I'm sitting on a toy wondering when it's going to snap in half.Admittedly, I was skeptical sitting on a folding bike for the first time. All it took was one decent ride to forget that the frame was two separate pieces. I haven't seriously ridden a bike in years (and by years I mean over a decade) with any seriousness, and this brings me back to my childhood. For people who aren't bike experts or enthusiasts and just want a functional bike that saves on space in the shed or trunk, this bike is just fine. If you are one of those people who takes the bikes apart to customize them part for part, you may be better off just getting a more expensive bike.I bought this bike because I want to exercise more and because I bought a small car and didn't want to mess with a bike rack. This suits my needs by being able to fit in the trunk (of a MINI Cooper, no less!) while only having to fold down one of the back seats. I can still carry two passengers along with this bike. It also fits easily in my living room and breaks down without a sweat. It IS heavier than I would have expected, but that's the price for getting the mountain bike version instead of the city version, I suppose. If anything, I consider maneuvering it while folded as just another aspect to the exercise. Also, they must have fixed the issue with the instruction booklet, as mine seemed appropriate for my model and wasn't confusing to put together at all. But then again, I am a genius.TL;DR version: the bike is fine. It's an introductory bike for people who aren't hardcore riders and just want two wheels with pedals and a seat that doesn't take up a lot of space.
