If you are looking for a new dirt jumper for street, park or dirt, Options are key. While the Assault holds down our aluminum hardtail dirt jumper category, the Option ads a bit of variety and cost saving options. Built upon a full cromoly Dirt Jump frame, with butted T/T and D/T, Mid BB, an integrated internal headtube, and horizontal BMX dropouts... the options features a suspension corrected full cromoly rigid fork with internal flutted legs and one piece CNC steerer tube with an integrated crown race. This fully rigid set up is ideal for your street rider or those looking to save a buck. Tubular cromoly cranks add a stiff and bullet proof platform for generating power. A single speed set up with an 11t driver keep things simple and quiet. 32h, double wall rims laced to sealed bearing hubs make for a bomb proof wheelset while the Hayes HMX-5 mechanical disc brakes offer a ton of stopping power. DB bars and stem round out the cockpit anda DB Tour Pivotal saddle and post keep things low and tight. The 2013 Option is blue and is served in one size only.

I got this bike for myself for christmas, and it is the best bike ive ever had! A little background on me, i am a huge bmx/ dirt enthuisat who has had many mirracos, stolen bike co, fit, cult. you name it ive probably had it. This is the best dirt jumper ive ever had! KHS, Eastern, Octane, theyre all nice, but this is my favorite. Very light. Was a big risk because i know diamondback isnt the best bike company and it was a serious gamble dropping money onto one, but it was a safe bet! there wasnt any reviews, so heres my 2 cents..Overall very solid. Light frame and forks. Cranks have an interesting drive side crank bolt. Nice wide bars. Single track rims. Nice fat pivitol seat.Cons:Seat and seat post are quite heavy. The pedals arent great(both were replaced with stolen thermalites) RIMS ARE OUT OF TRUE!!(this can be expected on most stock bikes) and the mechanical disc brakes arent great, the rim was too out of true to hook the brake up but i ride brakeless anyways so not too big of a deal for whoever rides street
