This is a great starter bike and works without any problems as long as you get a professional to put it together. I originally bought this same bike from walmart and the rear derailer broke after two rides. This wasn't the manufactures fault but the fault of walmart who had an un-experienced kid put my bike together. I took the entire bike, broken part and all, to Bicycle World and they told me it was a great bike, that it was just assembled poorly. Learned my lesson. Will never deal with walmart and their awful customer service again.Also comes with an Allen wrench and another tool that will make any future repairs a breeze and it was really easy to install my water bottle holder.

OK SO YOU BOUGHT A BIKE. You'd expect directions for that particular bike, right?Well no. You can't have any. Instead you can have generic bike instructions instead. That's right my friends. You don't get instructions to this particular bike.Perhaps people who know how to put together bikes will have no problem...but for the wishful thinkers,'I probably could do it-ers,' and the 'I'm too weak to screw this on tight' it might be a gamble.Wish I bought one from a bike shop. I had to have it put together there. They laughed at me.

I purchased this for myself wanting a mountain bike for around town. The seat is very hard, more like a street bike, so I'm getting another one. The instructions were very hard to understand the way written and the reference pictures were terrible which made putting it together more difficult than it needed to be. They also had wired up the brakes to the handlebars wrong so I had to remove the lines in order to but the front wheel on the right way. The back wheel also came slightly warped so I had to take it to a bike shop to straighten as it would have been to harder for me to remove and replace myself. All in all though now that it's working it's overall structure is good. I don't know that I'd recommend this though for someone just getting into biking as it's not friendly to assemble.
